Gilbert Flores/Variety Trending on Billboard Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo‘s work together didn’t stop with their duet at Daisy Chain Fields. The two women will also lend songs to the Practical Magic 2 soundtrack, as teased by leading lady Sandra Bullock. Rolling Stone confirmed Wednesday (Sept. 2) that Nicks’ “Landslide” will appear in the film. The news comes two days after she and Rodrigo sang the Fleetwood Mac classic together at the latter’s inaugural charity festival in Irvine, California. The Gen Z pop star’s song “The Cure” will also be on the soundtrack, the publication reports. After Daisy Chain Fields, Bullock — who stars opposite Nicole Kidman in the original Practical Magic and upcoming sequel — reshared a video of Nicks and Rodrigo performing together and wrote, “Angel voices that are part of an upcoming film.” It led to initial speculation that the two singer/songwriters were planning to team up on a collaborative song for the fantasy romance, rather than contribute separately. Practical Magic 2 hits theaters Sept. 10. Nicks was one of three special guests who joined Rodrigo onstage at Daisy Chain Fields. Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette — who’d swapped in last minute for Karen O, who missed the show due to a family emergency — also sang duets with the former Disney star. The day’s lineup included sets from Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, The Breeders, Garbage, Bikini Kill and more. All proceeds went to organizations supporting women and girls, championing reproductive freedom and assisting survivors of domestic violence. After Rodrigo announced that the festival had raised $10 million for its cause, Melinda French Gates matched the donation, bringing it up to $20 million. “Seeing daisy chain come to fruition yesterday was the greatest joy of my career,” Rodrigo wrote on Instagram after the event had concluded. “I am still in a bit of disbelief that it happened and I still feel incapable of properly expressing the gratitude that I feel for every person who believed in this vision and fought so hard to make it a reality.” Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up
