Steve Lacy accidentally spoils major ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ character reveal in red carpet interview

However, one artist connected with the movie seems to have offered up a spoiler. In an interview with singer Lacy, whose song ‘Oh Yeah?’ features in the film, was interviewed during an official livestream of the premiere, and was asked by the interviewer: “Out of all of the characters in the film you’re aware of and, without spoiling anything, who is your favourite? She’s the villain but there’s a reason to her madness.” Taken aback, the interviewer responded “Is that a spoiler?” “Jean” is a reference to Jean Grey, a significant character in the X-Men franchise. The mutant characters were not previously part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to the movie rights being owned by 20th Century Fox, but after Marvel’s parent company Disney bought Fox in 2019, these characters and others (such as The Fantastic Four) came under their ownership.
