As such, players need to act fast if they want to claim some of the quality content on offer, and it's easy to miss your chance if you aren't paying attention. In the past week alone, Steam has released several high-quality free games that gamers may have missed, including a few 10/10 bangers that are well worth checking out from the free-to-play library. Further, there's a brand-new limited-time offer available on Steam for a hit 2025 horror game, and you have until next Tuesday, May 19, 2026 to grab it and keep it in your library forever. Terrors to Unveil - Day Off is officially available to download and keep for 100% off until May 19 on Steam, and it's a must-try horror experience from indie developers at Psycho. It's part of the ongoing Terrors to Unveil series from the same studio and was originally released in December 2025 to the delight of horror fans. It currently has Mostly Positive 7/10 reviews on Steam, and features 90s-themed horror action with tons of jump scares that are sure to catch you off guard. Day Off is the second chapter in the Terrors to Unveil series and puts players in the role of Jack Williams, "a 26-year-old hard worker who after several days of work managed to get a day off." Jack decides to spend his weekend at a cottage in the woods with his dog, and things take a serious dark turn. The game is a primarily narrative-driven experience with "casual" gameplay mechanics, essentially acting as a walking sim with one jump scare after another, and if you're into that sort of thing, the entire series is worth checking out—all available for free. The complete Terrors to Unveil series consists of Chapter 1: Intrusion, Chapter 2: Day Off, and the upcoming Chapter 3 release of Last Trace, which is currently available as a free-to-try demo on Steam as well and slated for a full release soon. While Steam is constantly adding free offers on hit games every week, it's usually a mixed bag, and finding high-quality content isn't always a guarantee. Despite somewhat mixed reviews, the Terrors to Unveil series is well worth trying out if you're a horror fan at the low cost of absolutely free on Steam, and you might as well add it to your library before May 19, even if you want to save it to play later on.
