However, Moonlighter has all the benefits of modern hardware with great attention to visual detail and very tight and satisfying combat mechanics. The pixel art in Moonlighter is absolutely gorgeous and once the action cranks things up to eleven, the onscreen madness looks fluid and impressive to watch. The dual genre gameplay loop is satisfying and will have you coming back for more well into the early hours. Running your shop during the day and slaying baddies in dungeons by night... what's not to love about that? It combines the cozy with the crazy and makes for a very satisfying experience. Gathered loot from dungeon crawling can be sold by day in your shop, which will help you generate more cash. That cash can then be used to purchase new upgrades and weapons, which is oh so satisfying. One system feeds into the other, making progression feel rewarding as both your shop grows and your skills as a hero grow too. Moonlighter is sitting at a 'Very Positive' rating over on Steam currently. Combat in Moonlighter goes far beyond early The Legend of Zelda games. Movement is fast and fluid and mastering your dodge roll is key to survival. With procedurally generated dungeons, a huge variety of weapons, enemies, upgrades and bosses to contend with, it feels like a deeply engaging risk-reward adventure. Pushing forward for more loot to upgrade your shop might lead you to a battle beyond your means, but as we all know from Kingdom Come Deliverance... Fortune favors the bold!
