In fact, there are well over 100 demos available during the event, with each of them offering a completely different experience to the last, despite the event implying it'll all be train-related. These demos range from lengthy slices of the full experience to a quick taste of what is on offer, but all are absolutely worth downloading. While one may expect all of these free Steam downloads to revolve around managing trains (and plenty of them do), the Steam Train Fest 2026 event really encompasses any game that remotely involves a train. There's the tower defense title Australia Did It, the FPS base builder EverRail, the cozy cat game Cat Isle, the RTS game Last Train Home, the cozy sim Locomoto, the roguelike shoot 'em up Endless Rails, and the boss rush rhythm game, Wiseman: No More Breakups, to name just a few.
