Statewide special enrolment drive for electoral roll revision in Keralam from October 15

A State-wide special enrolment drive will be conducted from October 15 to October 31 in Keralam for the revision of electoral roll and the inclusion of new voters, Chief Electoral Officer D. Sajith Babu said on Thursday.Instructions regarding this have been issued to District Collectors.From October 15 to October 31, form distribution will be arranged and digital help desks set up at village offices. Applicants only need to submit Form 6 to add their names to the voters’ list.Applications can also be submitted online through the Citizen Service Portal or the Voter Helpline App.Along with the application, any one of the approved documents establishing the identity with photograph, age and address must be submitted. Those submitting Aadhaar as proof must provide an additional supporting document.House-visitsBooth-level officers (BLOs) will subsequently visit houses within the limits of their respective polling stations for further verification.Electoral registration officers (EROs) have been instructed to verify the major differences between the voter list that was in effect on January 1, 2025, and the voter list that came into effect after the Assembly elections.Additionally, ERO-level verifications will be conducted regarding applications that were not returned during the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) and were not included on the list published after the election.As part of strengthening voter awareness among young voters, a special enrolment drive named ‘Campus to Booth’ will be organised at college and higher secondary school levels.
