States move to limit classroom screen time

With growing concerns over the impact of excessive screen time on young children's development, several states have taken legislative action to regulate how much time kids spend on devices in classrooms. Following the passage of cellphone bans in many statehouses, four states have now implemented laws restricting screen time for students from childcare through fifth grade. Iowa, for instance, has set a cap of 60 minutes per day for digital instruction. This move reflects a broader effort to balance technology use with traditional learning methods, aiming to foster healthier habits and better social skills among young students.
