The emails, sent by Commure’s chief legal officer, Dan Brian, inform members of the partnership program that their payment agreements will be terminated 30 days from receipt of the company’s notice. One email, dated Aug. 6, states that anything owed under the agreement as of the termination date will be “paid in full.” The notice was sent to members of the program six days prior to the publication of a STAT investigation that found the company offers to pay thousands of dollars to customers and other parties to refer its AI products to new business prospects.
