Starlink denied entry as Namibia rebuffs 624 appeals for license

Namibia has firmly upheld its decision to deny Elon Musk's Starlink a license to operate in the country, rejecting over 600 appeals from the satellite internet provider. Despite the numerous attempts to reconsider the decision, only two out of the 624 appeals met the jurisdictional criteria for review, according to the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia. This move underscores the country's stance on maintaining control over its telecommunications sector, highlighting a significant setback for Starlink's expansion plans in Africa.
