He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's in Cinema & Media Arts. Writing serves as a much-needed distraction from tackling a backlog of Steam games that will never be surmounted. Among Star Wars Zero Company's eclectic cast of characters, Trick might very well feel like the most familiar face. While this clone trooper is a newcomer to the Star Wars universe, he is, nonetheless, a clone trooper, giving him quite the resemblance to plenty of others who have come before. All the same, Trick requires just as much care and attention to build properly as any other Operative in Zero Company. The best combination of specs and skills for Trick doesn't venture into any particularly surprising places, but avoiding any missteps can make him one of the most reliably useful characters on the battlefield. Best Classes For Trick To start with, Trick's basic class of Soldier is a no-brainer. As a clone trooper made for that exact purpose, he fits the skill set perfectly, and it's a useful role to fill within Star Wars Zero Company's somewhat erratic squad. It's typically hard to tell what the challenges of each Zero Company mission will be, and bringing a Soldier along guarantees a functional response to anything from elite sniper unites to bunched-up hordes of battle droids. When you unlock a second spec for Trick, things get a little, well, trickier, but one great option is Scout. This will allow Trick to set up more opportunities for the squad as a whole, letting him scope out the battlefield, ambush enemies, and generate Advantage. If you need to fill the role of Medic or Sharpshooter, they're also solid options for Trick. Ideally, though, Luco Bronc can eventually step in as the resident Sharpshooter, while Hawks might be an even better fit to handle Medic duties. Best Skills For Trick Trick's special Talent, For My Brothers, gives him a huge amount of battlefield survivability. At the start, this allows him to revive at half health the first time he's downed in battle, and subsequent upgrades allow him to revive at full health, avoid an injury the first time he's downed, and revive on the same turn while recovering an action point. The first few For My Brothers upgrades are well worth it, letting you play Trick in a risky way without worrying about time spent recovering in a medbay. The final 10 point upgrade, however, can be delayed for as long as you like, as he really shouldn't be going down enough to make it a necessity. Upgrading Trick's ultimate, Rocket Strike, is also a good idea. This powerful attack can turn the tide of battle, especially when enemies are grouped together. Brutal Strike and Strength upgrades can be prioritized if you plan to rely heavily on melee. If you don't find yourself using melee much, consider investing more in the upgrades from the Scout spec once you unlock it. Best Equipment For Trick For Trick's weapon, either a Blaster Rifle or Repeater can work, depending on whether you want multiple shots per round. As he should ultimately be scoring a lot of hits for Zero Company, equipping him with one of your better gun upgrades is advisable, which will largely depend on what you have in stock. Likewise, equipping a utility that helps him land hits is a good idea, like a Targeting Visor. If you're leaning into the Strength upgrades, you also can't go wrong with an Impact Bomb. This Trick build doesn't specialize him as heavily as builds for characters like Hawks and Kabb, but it's a good way to ensure that someone on the battlefield can be counted on for all the basics in Star Wars Zero Company.
