Star Wars Zero Company: Best Den Upgrades To Unlock First (Facilities, Crew, & Weapons)

He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's in Cinema & Media Arts. Writing serves as a much-needed distraction from tackling a backlog of Steam games that will never be surmounted. Star Wars Zero Company obviously requires plenty of strategy on the battlefield, but what you do in between missions is equally important. Zero Company operates out of a base referred to as the Den, and upgrading it will provide everything from increased influence in the galaxy to direct buffs in combat. Not all Den upgrades are created equal, however. Unlocking some early will provide continued dividends over time, while others will quickly prove to be less useful than you thought. The best selection overall will be somewhat dependent on your playstyle, but some upgrades should be no-brainers for any Zero Company campaign. Facilities Upgrades To Unlock First The first Facilities Upgrade you opt for in Star Wars Zero Company should be the Black Market, which is available at Level One. This will allow you to start picking up specialized equipment for your Operators. Unless you're rolling in cash, later Black Market upgrades are lower priorities, but the first level of Black Market Quality is also good to pick up. The Droid Repair Bay and first Medbay upgrade are also useful at Level Two. As long as you're handling missions well, though, later Medbay upgrades are less necessary. Opt for Networking and Zone Influence upgrades if any zones have rewards you particularly need, but they don't have to be priorities otherwise. Crew Upgrades To Unlock First Crew Upgrades can be extremely useful in battle, and once you have the basic Facilities upgrades in place, you can switch to some of these as a focus. Teamwork Level Three is a good one to prioritize, as this grants access to the Lounge that gives Bond XP to Operators who don't go on missions. Investing in Teamwork early will result in better progress for your Operators across the board. Once they're available, upgrades to get additional Weapon Mods and Utility Items slots can also prove hugely useful in battle, as can the Advantage granted at the start from Combat Readiness. Crew Quarters upgrades don't need to be a priority, as using a smaller, crack team of Operators proves just as effective in Star Wars Zero Company as assembling a wide spread of expendables. Weapons Upgrades To Unlock First Weapon Upgrades are highly dependent on what your Operators are bringing into the field. At Level Two, Pistol Movement Distnace or Rifle Movement Distance can be extremely useful if more than one member of your squad is using either weapon, giving you more ability to maneuver around the battlefield. The same goes for the basic Damage upgrades, which can be unlocked at Level Three for everything but the Longarm. The effective range of weapons is dependent on the overall game difficulty, so you can feel out whether you need Range and Overwatch upgrades in battle before deciding whether to invest. Critical Chance upgrades can be useful if you're leaning into increased Critical Chance in general, which can be augmented with certain skills, gear, and Bond upgrades. Otherwise, this is generally less important than base damage. Star Wars Zero Company isn't overly generous with Credits, so it's important to choose wisely when investing in any Den upgrades. By opting for the choices recommended above, however, you'll be putting those precious Credits to good use.
