Sign in to your ScreenRant account Introduced back in 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order before continuing his story in 2023's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal Kestis has now cemented himself as a fan favorite in the sci-fi universe. Played by Cameron Monaghan in the Respawn Entertainment saga, Kestis must battle with his troubled past as he becomes the target of the Galactic Empire, being hunted across the galaxy by Imperial Inquisitors. With the aim of rebuilding the fallen Jedi Order, Kestis' journey is not easy, but luckily, he is joined by all manner of friends along the way. With both games praised for bringing a new and exciting story to the ever-growing Star Wars universe, it is no wonder that many of us have been calling out for a third part in the Star Wars Jedi saga. Luckily, Respawn Entertainment has already confirmed that another installment is on the way, with Kestis' journey set to conclude in what will become an epic trilogy. Until then, however, another upcoming release may just see Cal Kestis come face to face with one of the most iconic Jedis of all time: Luke Skywalker. This news comes courtesy of both Lucasfilm and Disney which, back in May, released the reference book Star Wars: The Secrets of the Jedi: The Chronicles of Luke Skywalker. As an updated version of the reference book first released back in 2019, this one includes new information surrounding the more recent video games and television shows which are not a part of the Star Wars universe. This, of course, includes the Star Wars Jedi saga. In the book, we get to read multiple diary entries written by Luke Skywalker and, thanks to one fan, we can now see that he and Cal Kestis may just meet in the future. The journal entry, which was written in 34ABY (around the events of The Last Jedi), reads: “A small handful of Jedi managed to escape execution, such as Master Jaro Tapal’s Padawan Cal Kestis…” Of course, this could be a mere Easter egg for fans, but it could also hint at Luke and Cal meeting in a future Star Wars installment, perhaps even in the third entry in the Star Wars Jedi video game series. However, with no news from Respawn Entertainment on when we can expect its release, this nugget of information remains to be seen. For now, we at least know that Luke is aware of our favorite red-haired Jedi, including the events he gets up to in the video game series. What this means for the future, however, remains a mystery.
