Ssunita Ahuja tells Rakhi Sawant she got calls from hotels about Govinda

Ssunita Ahuja said she had received calls from hotels and asked how a wife was expected to feel, as more details emerged from her phone conversation with Rakhi Sawant after she withdrew her divorce petition against Govinda and made fresh claims about his alleged relationship. In the call, Ssunita asked people to support her and criticised those backing Govinda, including Poonam Pandey.The conversation took place while Rakhi was speaking to paparazzi in Mumbai and had Ssunita on speakerphone. At the same time, Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, issued a fresh denial in an exclusive interview with India Today, saying there was no truth to claims that the actor was planning a second marriage.During the conversation, which took place while Rakhi was interacting with paparazzi in Mumbai and had Ssunita on speakerphone, Ssunita said, "People should speak in my support; you know the whole story. What are Poonam Pandey and all these people saying? What value do these people have?"She also said, "Dekh, Rakhi, mein itne din tak chup thi, 5-6 saal. Ab tu usko meri jagah dega? Hotelon se mujhe call aa raha hai. Ek biwi hokar mujhe kaisa lagega? (Look, Rakhi, I stayed silent for so long—five or six years. And now, are you going to give her my place? I’m getting calls from hotels. How do you think I feel as a wife?)" In the same exchange, Rakhi urged her to stay strong and asked her to focus on Govinda's reported Rs 200 crore property. Rakhi said, "Aap Rs 200 crore par dhyaan do. Sab chhodo. Doosri-teesri koi aa gayi na, sab hadap legi. Aap pehle apne naam sab kuch kar lo please, meherbaani (Just focus on the 200 crores. Forget everything else. If some other woman comes along, she’ll snatch it all up. Please, do me a favour and get everything transferred to your name first.)."Sunita then said, "Maine kal divorce case wapis le liya tha, shaadi karne ke plan mein the yeh log (I withdrew the divorce case yesterday, they were planning to get married)." Rakhi immediately backed that decision and told her she had done the right thing by withdrawing the case.Poonam Pandey backs GovindaEarlier, Poonam Pandey, who worked with Govinda in Aa Gaya Hero, questioned why anyone would abuse a star like him. Speaking to the media at a public event, she said, "Gaali mat do yaar. Itne achche pati dev mile hai, tumko Govinda mila hai. Kya baat kar rahe ho? Pehle se nahi pata tha kya ke woh itne bade star hai? (Don't talk like that, my friend. You have such a wonderful husband—you've got Govinda! What are you saying? Didn't you know beforehand that he was such a huge star?)"When asked if she was supporting Govinda, Poonam said she would rather stand by the veteran actor than someone who was speaking against him. "I will support Govinda, sir. 100 per cent support karungi. Main toh unhi ko karungi, jo gaali de raha hai, unko thodi na karungi (I will support him wholeheartedly. I’ll only support him—I certainly wouldn’t support the person who is hurling abuse)," she said.Govinda manager's denialIn an exclusive chat with India Today on Friday, Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha dismissed the claims and said he was shocked to hear Ssunita make such statements. "I am hearing this from you. Aisa kuch nahi hai aur nahi hoga. Koi dusri shaadi nahi ho rahi," he said, adding, "She is his wife, and there must be something going in her mind that she made those claims."Sinha also said that if Govinda had really wanted to end his relationship with Ssunita or get married again, he would have filed for divorce himself. Instead, he said, it was Ssunita who filed for divorce in 2024 and later withdrew the petition on August 19.He added, "They are both mature people, and while Govinda has never spoken a word against Ssunita in public, she has been the one washing dirty linen out. I am sure they both want the best for them and their children. We don't know what came over her that she took the decision back, but we can hope that things iron out. It's also for the betterment of the kids, for they really get affected by all this negativity."On a final note, Sinha said Govinda was a responsible and respectable member of society and would never do anything that could leave a bad impact.
