Srisailam temple makes minor changes in Sparsha Darshan, Arjitha Sevas ahead of Sravana Masam rush

The Srisailam temple management has made some minor changes in the ‘Arjitha Sevas’ and ‘Sparsha Darshan’ for devotees during the ensuing ‘Sravana Masam’ celebrations. The auspicious month will commence from August 13.Temple Trust Board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao on Thursday said that there would be a heavy influx of devotees during Sravana Masam, with pilgrim visiting not only from the two Telugu States but also from Karnataka, Maharashtra, and various north Indian states. They said that the ‘Arjita Abhishekam’ and ‘Arjita Kumkumarchana’ services have been suspended for a total of 19 days, specifically on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, anticipating heavy rush. During these high-traffic days, only 250 Sparsha Darshan tickets will be made available in a single slot at 8:30 p.m.On other days, Sparsha Darshan tickets for Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy would be made available as usual at the three time slots — 7.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., and 9 p.m. Tickets for Arjita Abhishekam and Arjita Kumkumarchana could be obtained as usual on days with lower footfall. To facilitate easy access for devotees, a system has been implemented allowing 80% of the tickets to be obtained via Manamitra WhatsApp service. The remaining 20% of tickets can be secured through the Devasthanam’s website. The temple management also urged devotees to obtain Sparsha Darshan and Arjitha Seva tickets in advance either via Manamitra WhatsApp or online and plan their pilgrimage accordingly.
