An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said there had been a fight at the establishment involving several people over a spilled drink. Police are investigating.Drunken driving, Big Creek Parkway: On Aug. 3, police observed a gray 2012 Ram truck stopped in the middle of Big Creek Parkway traffic. The truck came back to a Cleveland resident with a warrant. He was arrested and held for transport. That’s also when the officer smelled booze. After failing a field sobriety test, the man was arrested for drunken driving. Also, it turned out a Cleveland passenger -- who had drugs and drug paraphernalia -- had a warrant. She was arrested and held for transport, as well as cited for drug abuse and drug paraphernalia possession. Extortion, Royal Parkway: On Aug. 2, a Royal Parkway resident called police regarding being an extortion victim. An officer talked to the caller, who reported sending photographs on the social media platform Discord. The recipient next threatened to post pictures on TikTok unless a payment was made to the subject. Police are investigating.Vandalism, W. 130th Street: On Aug. 4, an officer observed a city-run Flock camera removed and damaged from its W. 130th Street location. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.Drunken driving, W. 130th Street: On Aug. 6, police observed a silver 2021 Honda Ridgeline make numerous lane violations while driving on W. 130th Street. Talking to the Brook Park driver, the officer smelled alcohol. After failing a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested for drunken driving. She was also cited for driving in marked lanes. Hot dog, Olde York Road: On Aug. 6, an animal lover called police after discovering a dog left unattended in a vehicle located in an Olde York Road parking lot. An arriving officer discovered a black labrador mix inside of a blue 2025 Honda Civic, which had the windows slightly down.
