Now, we've learned that he will co-star alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Margaret Qualley in that movie. What we know about Tom Holland's next movie Image: Disney, Marvel If you're unfamiliar with Fred Astaire, he's a prolific dancer and stage and movie star who you'd probably recognize from classic musicals like Top Hat, Swing Time, and The Band Wagon. Holland has a dancing and theater background, so he has been trying to get this biopic off the ground for some time. Now, in the wake of two big hits, Tom Holland is finally making the movie with Paul King, a director best known for Wonka and the recent trilogy of Paddington films. On Sept. 25, Deadline reported that Sabrina Carpenter and Margaret Qualley joined the cast. Carpenter will play actress Ginger Rogers, while Qualley will portray Fred's sister Adele Astaire. Speaking to Deadline about the casting, King said, "The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the twentieth century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter by my side." Although Carpenter's involvement might be a bit surprising, considering her current stint as one of the world's biggest pop stars, she does have an acting background in Girl Meets World, Milo Murphy's Law, and Tall Girl. Meanwhile, Qualley is known for movies like The Substance and video games like Death Stranding. While it's almost impossible that this Fred Astaire biopic will reach the same box office heights as The Odyssey or Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Michael showed this year that audiences want this kind of musical biopic. At the very least, it's a case of Tom Holland getting to make a movie he really wants to after delivering one of the most successful superhero movies ever made, while starring alongside some very talented actresses.
