With complaints about the MCU's recent track record being that the franchise has leaned away from having central stars to tie the franchise together as much or in quite the same way it has previously, the box office results and critical approval of Spider-Man's recent foray onto the big screen establish that he alone could be an effective figure to ensure audiences have all the more reason to catch the next chapter of the franchise more interconnected story.
