Sony and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to set records in its fourth day at the domestic box office, notching the biggest Monday ever with north of $46 million. Sony hasn’t reported its official number yet, but the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed movie’s Monday is well north of the previous biggest Monday, which belonged to Black Panther‘s 2018 Presidents Day which did $40.15M. The next biggest after that belongs to Star Wars: Force Awakens at $40.1M on December 21, 2015. That puts the running four-day total for Brand New Day at $406M, the third highest-grossing movie stateside of 2026 currently behind Toy Story 5 ($463.3M) and Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($429.8M). Also as of Monday, Universal’s The Odyssey cracked the four-century mark with $405M, making it the fourth biggest movie at the domestic B.O. year-to-date. Avengers: Endgame has the second best second weekend at the domestic B.O. with $147.3M. There’s also a chance we’ll know soon that Brand New Day has become the second fastest movie after Avengers: Endgame ($1.22 billion global opening) to pass $1 billion at the worldwide box office. That would make it the fourth movie of 2026 to cross $1 billion worldwide after Toy Story 5, Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Michael.
