Greaves emphasised the importance of her vision after her Women’s World Matchplay win. Greaves said: “I’m really proud to have won the Women’s World Matchplay for a third time. It was a tough final and matches like that come down to the finest of margins. “In darts, having clear, reliable vision is a huge part of performing at your best. Specsavers’ brand partnerships and sponsorships lead Neil Liddle has explained the strategy behind the company’s bizarre move. Liddle said: “When you’re aiming for targets just millimetres wide, your eyesight isn’t just important – it’s everything. Yet while people recognise the importance of good vision, many are still putting other priorities ahead of looking after their eyes. “By insuring Beau’s eyes, we want to remind everyone – not just elite athletes – to value and protect their vision by making regular eye tests a priority.” Her career has gone from strength-to-strength after her historic 114-match winning run was ended in March. She then became the first female player to win the Players Championship after defeating former world champion Michael Smith, 35, in the final. But Greaves was forced to miss the qualifiers for the Slovak Darts Open and the European Darts Open in May after time constraints moving house. Greaves is now scheduled to make her debut on the PDC European Tour at the Hungarian Darts Trophy, starting on Friday, August 28. Comment now
