South Carolina HC Shane Beamer on job security after loss to Alabama: ‘I don’t know about national reports’

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer is not concerned about his job security after his team suffered a blowout loss to Alabama on Saturday. While speaking to reporters on Sunday, Beamer said he doesn’t pay much attention to what has been reported about him. “When you are in this position, you understand that you’re judged on wins and losses. I get that, but I don’t know about national reports or any of that stuff,” Beamer said. “All I know is my conversations with my bosses have been super supportive. We got a hell of a football team. Nakos said it would cost South Carolina $28 million to fire Beamer, but that number drops to $22.1 million at the end of December. Shane Beamer had a ‘great conversation’ with South Carolina AD Beamer revealed he had a “great conversation” with athletics director Jeremiah Donati before his weekly teleconference. “We talked last night in the locker room. He and Jeff Crane and all of our administrators who are super awesome,” Beamer said. “So they were super supportive last night after the game, and they were in the locker room when I talked to the team after the game. They were in the press conference, as you saw, and like I said, I talked to Jeremiah today.” Things were looking good for Beamer and South Carolina after the 2024 season.
