Sound Subsystem Seeing Lots Of Fixes & Laptop/Device Quirks For Linux 7.4-rc2

The sound subsystem is seeing a "unsurprisingly high amount" fixes and device workarounds/quirks for this weekend's Linux 7.4-rc2 kernel release. SUSE engineer and sound subsystem maintainer Takashi Iwai sent out this week's batch of sound fixes. A lot of laptop quirks stand out in particular this round and making this batch of fixes more notable/interesting to readers. Some of the sound changes catching my eye included: - Support for more devices using AMD's Audio Co-Processor 7.0 (ACP 7.0) IP with the TAS2783 codec. They are all HP devices and board/model numbers 8EF5, 8F6D, 8FA4, 8FA5, and 9056. - A DMI quirk for the HP OmniBook 3 16-by0xxx due to it not exposing its internal microphone with the AMD ACP6x machine driver. - Fixing a popping noise for the audio on the ASUS PRIME B650M-K. - Audio support for the HP OmniBook 7 Laptop 16-ay0xxx. - Enabling the mute and mic-mute LEDs on the HP ENVY 17-cr0xxx. - Fixing the mute and mic-mute LEDs on the HP OmniBook 7. - Mute LED quirk for the HP ZBook 17 G3. - An inverted mute LED quirk for the HP ZBook 8 G2a - Enabling the bass speakers on the Alienware m17 R3. - A quirk for the Huawei MateBok X Pro 2020 model for handling the combined headphone and microphone jack. Also fixing the microphone mute LED. - A quirk to fix the headset mode on the Huawei MateBook WRT-WX9. - A quirk for the Acer Predator PHN16-71 due to the Realtek ALC245 codec not detecting external headset microphones on the 3.5mm combo jack. - A quirk for the Lenovo V15 AMN G6 (product name 83VD and 84CS) with its DMIC capture device not otherwise being available under Linux. - Adding the Tegra268 HDMI/DP codec ID to the TegraHDMI driver code.
