Filmed before she gave birth, Sophie explained that Jordan was still recovering from the virus, and that he was still not himself. “I went to the hospital days later and looked at him on the bed and he couldn’t even look me in the eyes – he was just like asleep,” she recounted in scenes with her TOWIE pals. “He was non-verbal cos his brain was swelling at such a rapid rate so it was putting pressure on the brain and on his skull.” She explained she sat beside him from 9am until 10pm because she didn’t want to leave him. “I just wanted to be in his presence,” she said through sobs. “But it’s not the same. He’s not the same. “He’s got scarring on his brain. The front part of his brain is scarred and his moods will be like really up and down. “And he’ll be really emotional and he’ll get quite forgetful and he’s obviously got like a limp now so he can’t really do much.” She added: “I don’t think we would have got through it without this little boy inside. I think that’s what kept him strong.” Jordan was sent home from A&E wrongly diagnosed with a migraine and was later blue-lighted to hospital at death’s door with meningitis. Sophie stayed by his bedside in hospital and they would talk about their unborn child they call their “miracle baby” after a gruelling two-year IVF struggle to conceive. Comment now
