Actor Sonakshi Sinha has reacted to the student protest in Jharkhand and shared her support on social media. The protest is centred on alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations, with students in Ranchi demanding an independent investigation and reforms in the recruitment process.Sharing a reel on her Instagram Stories with the caption, "All eyes on Jharkhand Students", Sonakshi wrote, "It's so disheartening to see students of our country go through this...when will it stop." He asked, "Was Jharkhand created only for its minerals?"About the protestStudents in Jharkhand have continued an indefinite sit-in at a stadium in Ranchi since July 29 over alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC examination, JSSC-CGL and other recruitment tests. Their protest has increased pressure on the Jharkhand government for an independent probe and changes in the state's recruitment agencies. Hundreds of students continued the protest for the seventh consecutive day on Sunday. They have demanded a CBI probe into the alleged lapses and reforms in the recruitment system. The protesters are also seeking cancellation of the 14th JPSC Combined Preliminary Test held on April 19, an independent probe by central agencies including the CBI and Enforcement Directorate, and the introduction of a fifth option of 'not attempted' in OMR sheets.The protests in Ranchi have brought focus back to allegations surrounding competitive examinations and recruitment procedures in the state.Sonakshi Sinha has previously used her social media platforms to voice support for student-led protests over NEET-UG exam irregularities and paper leaks.
