Al Buraimi: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is continuing work on the project to construct five bridges on the Sohar-Al Buraimi road, spanning North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi governorates — one of the most important routes connecting Al Buraimi Governorate to the rest of the Sultanate of Oman.The project has achieved a 24 percent completion rate, with a total cost exceeding OMR6 million. The new bridges are being built to replace damaged bridges constructed more than 50 years ago, in order to ensure the safety of road users. The structural condition of these bridges had been carefully assessed.The project aims to enhance road safety and provide a sustainable road network to maintain the efficiency of the logistics connectivity system.
