Satheesan has condemned the “vulgar and excessive” abuse on social media, saying criticism of political leaders should never descend into personal attacks on their families. Prathapan.“Recently, a deceased journalist was subjected to cruel abuse on social media. But social media platforms should not sink to the level of insulting women and families,” he added. The Chief Minister also alleged that those engaging in abusive campaigns in cyberspace enjoy the backing of political parties.
