‘SNL’ Promotes Keri Powers & Rebecca Schwartz

There’s some changes behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live. The show has promoted two of its long-running figures: Keri Powers and Rebecca Schwartz. Powers has been promoted to sole head of its talent department and is responsible for host, musical guest and guest star bookings for the NBC show. She joined the show in 2014 and had previously worked for Paramount Pictures and CAA. Her promotion follows the departure of Brian Siedlecki, who was the booker and spent 30 years in the role. Separately, Rebecca Schwartz has been promoted to producer. She was part of the talent team and has been with the show since 2015. Watch on Deadline The moves come as SNL returns for Season 52 on Saturday with Jalen Brunson as host and Katseye as musical guest. There wasn’t a huge amount of change coming into the season. Chloe Fineman left, as revealed by Deadline, and Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter joined as featured players. Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline were promoted to reparatory status. The cast now includes Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Ashley Padilla, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson and Jane Wickline with Belo-Osagie, Reiter, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska as featured players.
