Smart glasses sold nationwide on Amazon recalled after consumers report facial burns

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, INMO International Technology Limited is recalling 1,643 INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses for serious burn and death hazards. The manufacturer received at least 10 reports of the glasses overheating. Consumers experienced a burning sensation on their faces and the left side of their ears, prompting the recall.The smart glasses, commonly used for AI translation, AI-assisted productivity and media streaming, were sold online at Amazon.com, Inmoxr.com and Kickstarter.com. They were available from December 2025 through August 2026 and cost between $900 and $1,300.The recalled products are black and feature “AIR3” and “INMO” printed on a label located on the inner side of the right leg.Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled INMO Air3 Smart Glasses immediately and contact the company for a free repair. INMO said it will assist customers in updating the system software to version V3.16 online. Consumers can call INMO International at 888-212-9620 or via email at support.usa@inmoxr.com.
