Today, these Ranger Service Learning students in North Ridgeville are balancing exhilaration with upcoming graduation and perhaps anxiety about leaving friends and stepping into the future. But RSL has helped prepare them: Deeds not words, writes guest columnist Zoltan “Z” Krompecher, a retired Green Beret who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and whose wife “suggested” he put his teaching degree to work.
