Beating Dark Souls without taking a single point of damage was next to impossible, so I mixed it with a speedrun and pulled it off thanks to my beautiful Chosen Undead, the Parry Princess. The idea of doing that for an open world RPG like Skyrim — while also striving for 100% completion — is unthinkable. One wrong move, and you're sent careening back to the cart to hear Ralof spout off "hey you, you're finally awake" for the umpteenth time after losing dozens of hours of progress. Yet somehow, YouTuber and Twitch streamer GinoMachino did exactly that. "World's first Skyrim all achievements no damage run completed," they posted to X. "Almost a decade of challenge runs and this is probably the hardest run I've done." One Attempt Lasted 19 Hours Before A Wolf Spawned In It's another absurd achievement to add to their equally absurd track record. They've beaten all 207 bosses in Elden Ring without being hit, completed every Elder Scrolls game from Arena to Skyrim in a row without taking damage, and even held a no-hit marathon for 50 days. It's a staggering level of patience that no amount of therapy or meditation could possibly hope to instill in a person. But I guess thousands of hours of grueling Dark Souls challenges can do it. GinoMachino has been at this run for nearly a month, and several runs ended after ten hours — which just shows how much time is at stake with every attempt. In fact, one run lasted over 19 hours, but came to an abrupt end when he fast traveled to one of his Hearthfire homes. For whatever reason, a wolf spawned right as he loaded in and attacked him while he was unable to move or react. "Dude, oh my god," he said. "How did that happen bro? Oh my god. I can't believe this man." It's fun watching these clips where most would slam their desks or toss their controller aside in frustration, maybe embellishing it for the cameras, only to see GinoMachino casually let out an "awh man, that sucks" before moving on and trying again. It's exactly why I keep coming back to the Soulsborne challenge community — staying chill in one of the most annoying, fiddly, time-consuming runs is a real feat. It might've taken a month and dozens of hours to pull off, but GinoMachino now holds the title of World's First, fittingly ending his winning run after 19 hours and 42 minutes by acquiring the Wabbajack from the Daedric Prince of Madness, which is exactly what you'd have to be to put yourself through this kind of torture.
