As you make your way through Phantom Blade Zero's brutally difficult world, you'll need to keep upgrading your weapons to give yourself the best shot at survival. As you reach Pangzhen and meet Myst, you'll unlock a powerful new upgrade option: Soul Tempering. Each weapon has a specific upgrade item hidden around Phantom Blade Zero's world. Once you find it, you can Soul Temper the weapon to give it a new, powerful ability. One of the first weapons you'll unlock, and one that remains eternally useful throughout, is the Outlaw Warblade. This health-stealing sword shreds enemies and heals you in the process. To Soul Temper it, you'll need the Six Paths Warrant, and this guide will tell you exactly where to find it. How To Find Six Paths Warrant And Upgrade The Outlaw Warblade Although the Outlaw Warblade is one of the first weapons you unlock, its Soul Tempering material, the Six Paths Warrant, can't be found until fairly late in the game and requires one of the trickier Phantom Edges to unlock. You'll need to start by finding all three parts of the Illusory Pipa and taking them to Myst to have it repaired. In doing so, you'll unlock the ability to clear certain mist-shrouded areas around the map, one of which is hiding the Six Paths Warrant. The three parts to the Illusory Pipa can be found at the following locations: Village of Lu - Hidden Boss Chapter Boss - Mandate's Encampment Hidden Boss - Ruined Theater (Meigu Lake) With the Illusory Pipa in tow, head back to Meigu Lake, and the Meigu Songhouse Dock Bell. This just so happens to be where you found the Illusory Pipa's Strings after the tricky Yan Qiansui, the Zither Maiden boss fight. This area has two mist-shrouded doorways, both of which you can clear with the Illusory Pipa Phantom Edge. You're going to want to head to the one at the back of the arena. Press R2 to use the Pipa and head off to your left. There is a wall you can skirt behind, and following it round, you'll see a glowing item. This item is the Six Paths Warrant. Take it back to the Meigu Songhouse Dock Bell, and you'll be able to temper your Outlaw Warblade into one of the game's best weapons. Using 5,000 Remnant Dust and your Six Paths Warrant, you'll unlock the Ruthless Outlaw ability for the sword. This ability reads: Damage dealt to enemies increases with the amount of recoverable HP. If you've been using the Outlaw Warblade in your playthrough to this point, or are looking for a powerful endgame weapon, grabbing the Six Paths Warrant is an absolute must.
