Six arrested after man stabbed & rushed to hospital with ‘serious injuries to head and hand’

A 20-year-old man from Croydon was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent; an 18-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, and a 24-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. A police spokesperson said: “They remain in police custody at this time and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” As the investigation progressed, three more men were arrested. A 23-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place; a 17-year-old boy from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and a 17-year-old boy from Wolverhampton was arrested on suspicion of assault, wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
