In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, President Sisi celebrated the carrier’s surge into the global Top 50: “I congratulate the Egyptian civil aviation sector on the outstanding achievement of our national carrier, EgyptAir, for winning the ‘World’s Most Improved Airline’ award for 2026 from global rating agency Skytrax, advancing to 46th place globally, entering the list of the world’s top 50 airlines, alongside its other international awards and recognition.” Soaring achievement EgyptAir has claimed top global honors at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards in London, winning the prestigious title of “The World’s Most Improved Airline.” Marking a major milestone for the national carrier, the award recognizes a comprehensive overhaul in service quality, fleet modernization, and digital transformation aimed at elevating the passenger experience. EgyptAir jumped 22 places in Skytrax’s overall global rankings to secure 46th place worldwide for 2026, up from 68th in 2025.
