Sine Engineering Appoints Mykolska as VP of Growth and Affairs

Nataliya Mykolska, former executive director of Diia.City United, was appointed vice president of growth and affairs at the Ukrainian defense startup Sine Engineering. She will begin her new role on Oct. 19. The startup, founded weeks after Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, develops communication modules, digital video transmitters, and GPS-independent navigation systems engineered to operate under active electronic warfare conditions – the standard environment on Ukraine’s front line. Sine Engineering’s modules are already integrated into systems used by more than 150 Ukrainian drone manufacturers and interceptor producers. In her new position, Mykolska will build partnerships, gain access to the world’s best technologies and talent, attract capital, and develop R&D and manufacturing capabilities in Ukraine and abroad. “My focus is on the company’s global growth, new markets, strategic partnerships, and working with governments and key partners,” Mykolska wrote on Facebook. Mykolska’s move marks the second high-level appointment at Sine Engineering in the past two months. In August, Taras Potichnyi, the former head of the ride-hailing and delivery company Bolt in Ukraine, joined the team as senior vice president of growth, according to his LinkedIn. Before joining Diia.City United, Mykolska worked in Ukrainian law firms for about 15 years. From 2015-18, she served as Ukraine’s trade representative and deputy minister of economic development and trade. Since 2019, she has worked as a strategic consultant for Ukrainian and foreign businesses, focusing on strategic transformations and business globalization.
