Simu Liu Signs With WME

EXCLUSIVE: Simu Liu has signed with WME for representation in all areas. As an actor, Liu is best known for playing the title role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Marvel Studios’ first Asian-led superhero film, which grossed over $432M worldwide in 2021, even as the industry struggled to rebound from the pandemic. Liu next reprises the role in Avengers: Doomsday, out Dec. 16, in his first big return to the MCU since his introduction. In recent years, Liu has starred in and exec produced the Peacock spy series The Copenhagen Test, also garnering attention for his turn as Rival Ken in Warner Bros.’ phenomenon Barbie. Most recently, he wrapped production on Homewrecker, a sci-fi thriller where he stars opposite Michelle Randolph and Allison Williams, and made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning Oh, Mary! In addition to his onscreen work, Liu is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir We Were Dreamers: An Immigrant Superhero Origin Story. He’s also been an active advocate for greater representation in entertainment and business, and for the AAPI community in particular, as a partner at venture capital firm Markham Valley Ventures and Chief Content Officer of the Chinese-American food brand MìLà.
