Sikorsky Arrives in Kyiv for Yalta Conference

Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorsky arrived in Kyiv on Friday, Sept. 11, to attend the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) conference.According to a post on Sikorsky’s X account, the Polish diplomat arrived by train and published a photograph from Kyiv’s central railway station.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.“Good afternoon from Kyiv,” Sikorsky wrote.The photograph showed Sikorsky being welcomed by Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko, Poland’s chargé d’affaires in Ukraine Piotr Lukasiewicz, Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar, and other officials.Further details of Sikorsky’s planned meetings in the Ukrainian capital were not immediately disclosed. He is also attending the annual YES conference, which brings together political leaders, diplomats, business representatives, civil society figures, and experts to discuss Ukraine’s future and wider international challenges.Founded in 2004 by Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk, YES originally held its annual meetings in the Crimean city of Yalta. The conference moved to Kyiv following Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014.The 2025 meeting, held under the theme “How to End the War?,” gathered more than 800 participants from over 30 countries. Sikorsky also took part in that conference, addressing Ukraine’s defense and the wider security of Europe.
