Michelle Branch Shervin Lainez Singer-songwriter Michelle Branch signed a record deal with BMG, which will release her new EP of re-recorded songs, Everywhere and Back Again, on Nov. 6. The first release from the EP is a reimagined version of “The Game of Love,” a collaboration between Branch and New Radicals, whose vocalist, Gregg Alexander, co-wrote the song. Originally included on Santana’s 2002 album Shaman, “The Game of Love” served as that album’s lead single and eventually peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Branch and Santana also won a Grammy for best pop collaboration with vocals for the track. Everywhere and Back Again will feature re-recorded versions of select songs from Branch’s career, including several from her major label debut, The Spirit Room. The EP will feature guest collaborations with several artists yet to be announced. Best known for starring in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Descendants: Wicked Wonderland — and also set to appear in the upcoming Camp Rock 3 — Segura recently signed a deal with Def Jam Recordings and released her debut EP, Dear Little Me, on the label. She’s set to tour arenas this fall on the Worlds Collide Concert Tour. — Chris Eggertsen Rhiannon Giddens (WME) Image Credit: Karen Cox Grammy- and Pulitzer-winning artist Rhiannon Giddens signed with WME for global representation in music. The news follows Giddens’ recent announcement of her seventh solo studio album, Hope Is the Thing With Feathers, which is set for release on Sept. 18 via Nonesuch Records. Giddens recently served as a music supervisor and consultant on Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, along with contributing original music to the film, among other projects. On the live front, she recently sold out Carnegie Hall and played two sold-out shows at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, according to a press release. Starting Wednesday (July 29), she embarks on American Tunes: Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing, a five-date concert series celebrating the American songbook alongside Mavis Staples, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Hurray for the Riff Raff. She also recently launched the Biscuits & Banjos Foundation, which aims to expand the mission of her sold-out festival of the same name “through music education, instrument access, and programming celebrating the African diaspora’s influence on American culture,” according to the release. — Chris Eggertsen Chiodos (SharpTone Records) Image Credit: Alicia Hauff Post-hardcore band Chiodos signed to SharpTone Records, which earlier this month released the band’s first new music in more than a decade with the single “TAPDAT.” Chiodos recently returned to North American stages for a 20th-anniversary tour of its debut album, All’s Well That Ends Well, including performances at festivals including Warped Tour, Louder Than Life and When We Were Young. They’ll embark on another headline run in North America this summer. — Chris Eggertsen George Benson (Candid Records) Image Credit: Greg Allen George Benson, the 10-time Grammy-winning jazz guitarist and singer, signed with Candid Records and will reissue his 2013 album Inspiration: A Tribute to Nat King Cole through the label on Sept. 11. The reissue will include “three restored bonus tracks,” according to a press release. The album was produced by Candid Records executive John Burk. — Chris Eggertsen Ashe, Goth Babe (Mutual Friends) Mutual Friends, the management company behind Chelsea Cutler, Quinn XCII, Tiffany Day and more, added Ashe and Goth Babe to its roster. The G Major Mgmt team also expands with the addition of Taylor Venis as day-to-day manager and Kenzie Couch as assistant day-to-day manager. “The heart of G Major has always been the people,” shares G Major Founder Virginia Bunetta. “We look for artists who have a clear vision and a strong work ethic. Our team is one that will champion them every step of the way.” Blue Highway Records artist Estes recently released her label debut, “The 90s Called,” and was named the Association of Independent Music Publishers’ rising artist-writer of the year in 2024. Mullen is set to release a new EP this summer, including the song “Can’t Compete With Carolina.” He has upcoming shows in Australia supporting Tyler Braden. Belmont University graduate Venis joined Big Loud Records in 2021 and rose to the role of day-to-day manager, overseeing merchandise and supporting album launch campaigns. Venis will serve as day-to-day manager for Estes while working with G Major’s roster, helping oversee artist strategy. University of Tennessee graduate Couch most recently served as promotions coordinator at MCA, contributing to country radio singles for artists including Jordan Davis, Sam Hunt and Luke Bryan. She was a top 5 nominee for the 2025 CRS/Country Aircheck New Faces of Country Music (Professional). Couch will support artist operations and management across the G Major roster. Bunetta founded G Major Mgmt in 2014 in partnership with Live Nation’s Artist Nation. The Nebraska-born, Nashville-based artist is set to release his self-penned debut song, “Thunder,” on Aug. 14. Bartels mixes Americana, folk and country influences into songs that explore themes of faith, longing and redemption. “The minute I heard Evan Bartels perform, I felt every lyric he sang, and I wanted to join his journey,” Cindy Mabe, founder and CEO of Joan of Arc Music, said in a statement. “He is such a needed artist. He paints portraits of yearning for something more, deep rooted in American rural grit and his lyrics connect to the spirit of the journey of being a human. Two of Bourne’s original songs were recently recorded by bluegrass group Sister Sadie, while Bourne’s new single, “Company I Keep,” is in rotation on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction. Bourne is also on the road playing acoustic guitar and singing background vocals for Blue Highway Records recording artist Mae Estes. “I’m really excited to work with Rylie,” Todd Wilkes, owner of Todd Wilkes Entertainment, said in a statement. “She’s one of the most talented female singers I’ve ever met. When I first heard her sing, I knew I had to sign her. Her vocals and her songs are simply amazing.” — Jessica Nicholson Fashion Police (Interscope Records) Fashion Police, a Chicago-based dark wave band that’s known for “fusing post-punk edge with Latin alternative roots,” according to a press release, signed with Interscope Records. The band’s first release on the label is the double single “Reptile / Japan.” The band, which sings in both English and Spanish, is slated for a North American tour from August through October. — Chris Eggertsen Golomb (Third Man Records) Image Credit: Angelina Castillo Columbus, Ohio-based band Golomb (pronounced like “column”) signed to Third Man Records, which will release the band’s third album. Golomb’s previous two studio albums were 2022’s Golomb and last year’s The Beat Goes On, along with a remix EP (the latter two were released by Philadelphia label No Quarter Records).
