War follows the story of Sienna's character Carla, a Hollywood A-lister, using underhand tactics to divorce her plilandering tech billionaire Morgan, played by Dominic West, while he attempts to keep hold of his assets. We need this!'Praising Dominic, Phil Harrison wrote for Independent: 'Dominic West co-stars in vicious legal series that skewers the wealthy and has a lot of fun in the process'. Sienna Miller and Dominic West's new show War has won unanimous praise from critics after hitting screens last week WAR: The Reviews INDEPENDENT Rating:FOUR STARS This is a trivial but pleasurable thing, without any real heroes but finally, not without humanity. One of the tiny consolations of living in a world containing multibillionaires is the chance to scoff, with a clear conscience, at their haplessness. As such War is an expertly assembled, victimless pleasure. METRO Rating:FOUR STARS War is savage TV, a story reeking of ruthlessness that’s hidden behind a perfectly polished facade of courtesy and formality. To summarise in more straightforward terms – I loved it, and could lap up many more seasons. The only shortfall for me was the slightly anticlimactic end, but I still found it a fantastic watch. THE GUARDIAN Rating:FOUR STARS War … what is it good for? At last, we have an answer: delivering eight hours of high-quality balderdash direct to your TV screens for your glorious delectation. Hurrah!... It’s massive, massive fun, with a ripped-from-the-headlines feel to it that only adds to the entertainment. Oh, the back-stabbing! Oh, the double-crossings! Oh, the last-minute aversions of disaster! Until the next one! DAILY MAIL Rating:FOUR STARS That's all we require for a red-blooded, rip-roaring battle of the sexes. But the opening episode of War does too much due diligence with its back-story, introducing an ambitious would-be lawyer called Johnny (Archie Renaux) from Peckham, with a Del Boy accent and the brass neck to match.VARIETY Thoroughly captivating — with [George] Kay’s signature twists dispersed throughout — War depicts the lengths people are willing to go to achieve victory and what it might cost to get there... As with the rest of Kay’s dramas, War builds tension brilliantly and unfolds into something far more intricate than it first appears. The New York Times said Sienna delivers a ‘deeply charismatic, complicated and sympathetic performance’, while Hollywood bible Variety added the two actors ‘shine’ in the ‘captivating divorce thriller’.In another gushing four star review, Metro's Sabrina Barr wrote: 'War is savage TV, a story reeking of ruthlessness that’s hidden behind a perfectly polished facade of courtesy and formality...'To summarise in more straightforward terms – I loved it, and could lap up many more seasons.
