In The Wolf Among Us Remastered, you follow Bigby Wolf as he works his job as sheriff of the Fables, fairytale characters living hidden in plain sight in the city. As with all Telltale games, the choices you make throughout your playthrough will affect the ending you get. In the opening episode of the game, Episode One: Faith, we meet Bigby, the notorious Big Bad Wolf of fairytale legend. Though he's the sheriff of Fabletown, many of his fellow Fables are still afraid of him thanks to his dark past. While he'd like to gain their trust and maybe even their friendship, thanks to his work, Bigby is dragged into a mysterious murder case. This walkthrough will contain major spoilers for the first episode of The Wolf Among Us Remastered and may contain spoilers for later episodes. Chapter One: Disturbance In the opening chapter, you follow Bigby as he goes to talk to Toad, who's called him in to deal with The Woodsman. The Woodsman is drunk, yelling and throwing things upstairs, and it's upsetting his neighbors. Bigby follows the noise to discover that The Woodsman is violently attacking a woman in his apartment. After a brief struggle that results in Bigby and The Woodsman going through the window and landing atop Toad's car, Bigby chats with the woman briefly, letting The Woodsman disappear into the night to hopefully sleep off his problems. Generally, this will be the order of events for the chapter: Talk to Toad. Go upstairs to The Woodsman's apartment. Pick up the matchbook that's sitting outside his door in the hallway. Knock on the door. Talk to The Woodsman. Fight The Woodsman (this is a quick time event sequence that will require you to press buttons in order to help Bigby fight). Talk to The Woodsman again. Talk to the woman in his apartment. Talk to The Woodsman one more time. This results in going out the window and landing on Toad's car. Talk to Toad. Talk to the woman again. Choose whether to light the woman's cigarette yourself or give her the matchbook you found. Choose whether to give the woman money or not (this has consequences in Chapter Six). Chapter Two: The Woodlands In Chapter 2, we follow Bigby back to his apartment complex, running briefly into Beauty and Beast on the way up. Beauty is out late, and asks Bigby not to tell Beast he's seen her. Back in his apartment, Bigby chats with Colin the pig before Snow arrives, escorting Bigby to a crime scene: the woman Bigby just saved from The Woodsman has been murdered. Bigby investigates the scene with Snow. Generally, this will be the order of events for the chapter: Open the gate to The Woodlands apartment complex. Walk toward the front door. Talk to Beauty. You can choose to tell her you'll keep her secret, or choose to stay out of the situation. Go inside and call the elevator. Step into the elevator. Talk to Beast. You can choose to tell him the truth or lie and say you haven't seen Beauty (this has consequences in Episode Two, Chapter Five). In Bigby's apartment, look at the folder of Bluebeard's case on the desk. Touch Colin the pig to wake him up. Talk to Colin. You can either offer him a drink or refuse. In the morning, answer the door. Speak with Snow and follow her to the courtyard. In the courtyard, interact with the jacket. Talk to Snow again. Interact with the woman's mouth to investigate. Look at the woman's eye. Look at the woman's neck. Choose to investigate the scene further. Walk to the right and investigate the blood trail on the sidewalk. Keep going right until you're prompted to look at the ground. Interact with the scrap of fabric you find there. Look in the garbage can. Look at the gate spikes and interact with the blood on them. Go back to Snow and show her the fabric scrap. Talk to Snow a final time. Chapter Three: Mirror Mirror In Chapter 3, we follow Bigby the next morning as he heads over to the Business Office to work with Snow to find out more about the murder. He stumbles into an argument between Snow and her boss, Ichabod Crane. After Crane leaves, Bigby and Snow work together with the flying monkey assistant Bufkin to discover who the victim is, and find out that her name was Faith, the Donkey Skin Woman. They consult the magic mirror to discover Faith's husband, Lawrence, alone in his apartment, and set off to inform him about Faith's death and question him. On their way out of the office, Snow and Bigby get a call from Toad, who tells them in a panic that someone is looking through The Woodsman's things, and begs Bigby to get there quickly. Generally, this will be the order of events for the chapter: Talk to the man waiting in line outside the Business Office door. Speak to, or avoid speaking to, Crane. Suggest a suspect in the case to Crane (this becomes your lead suspect). Speak to Snow. Speak to Bufkin. Speak to the Mirror. You can progress by choosing either The Woodsman (which will show you where he is at the moment, though there aren't many details) or "I don't know her name" (which prompts the mirror to tell you to find out what it is and come back). Look at and interact with the Tarot Deck on the corner of the desk. If you interact with each of the three cards, Bigby holds onto the third. Look at the Book of Fables on Snow and Bufkin's research table. Interact with the picture of the man wearing a tunic standing over the girl in the donkey outfit. This is Faith's story. Look at the smaller book of symbols, turning one page over to the right to find the appropriate drawing of the ring you found with Faith's head. Talk to the mirror again, asking it about Faith. Go through all of the speech options available. Take the phone call from Snow and talk to Toad. Exit the Business Office through the door. Chapter Four: Choices Chapter Four has the most impactful consequences yet, even if it's the shortest chapter. Here, you choose whether to investigate Toad's Apartment first, or Lawrence's Apartment. This will impact how Chapter Five progresses. For the purposes of this walkthrough, I chose to go to Toad's Apartment first, which is the current most popular pathway. Chapter Five: Consequences If you choose to go to Toad's Apartment first, Bigby and Snow see someone rummaging around through the opening where the window was, but when they talk to Toad, he insists it was a mistake and that no one is there. His son TJ is crying, so Snow goes to look at his bug collection with him while Bigby looks around. Bigby eventually discovers that Toad was attacked by one of the Tweedles while they were looking for something belonging to The Woodsman. The Tweedle (Toad is unclear if it was Dee or Dum) beat Toad up and threatened to kill his son if he snitched to Bigby. Toad hands over Faith's donkey skin coat, which contains a letter for Lawrence. From there, Bigby and Snow head over to Lawrence's Apartment, where they find Lawrence has shot himself after doing something he regrets to Faith, though they're not sure what that is yet. They investigate the apartment, and in the process, find a Tweedle hiding in the closet. Bigby gives chase as the Tweedle runs, following him through the apartments and into a back alley. When he's finally cornered, Bigby learns that this is Tweedle Dee, and that he's been employed to discover something about The Woodsman and Faith, though he won't say by who. Tweedle Dee's brother Tweedle Dum knocks Bigby out, and the Tweedles escape. Generally, this will be the order of events for the chapter: In Toad's Apartment: Go downstairs to Toad's apartment and enter. Talk to Toad and have Snow go off with TJ. Examine the busted latch on the apartment door. Look at the broken lamp on the floor in front of the door. Walk down the stairs on your left and look at the stain by the fireplace. Pick up the bloodied poker on the ground. Talk to Toad again. Open the window and examine the marks on the sill. Look at the dust ring on the table next to the fireplace. Talk to Toad a final time. You unfortunately do have to hit him to finish the dialogue tree and progress. Pick up the note on the donkey skin that Toad gives you. Leave Toad's apartment. In Lawrence's Apartment: Talk to Snow outside the apartment, then enter. Look at Lawrence's body, discovering that he's still alive for the moment. Get Lawrence some water from the kitchen, to the left in the apartment. Go back and speak to Lawrence, who then dies from his injuries. Examine Lawrence's body. Look at and pick up the handgun beside Lawrence. Look at the bloodied knife on the ground beside Lawrence. Examine the blood on the floor. Look at the picture of Lawrence and Faith hanging on the wall. Pull the Murphy bed down from the wall and read the note Lawrence left on it. Open the closet. Chase Tweedle Dee. This is a quick-time event series that will require you to hit WASD to dodge and click various points rapidly. Talk with Tweedle Dee. Chapter Six: Trip Trap After the scuffle with the Tweedles, Snow drops Bigby off at the Trip Trap bar, where he talks to the bartender Holly and her only patron, Grendel, asking after The Woodsman. Though they try at first to deny that he's there at all, eventually The Woodsman appears. When questioned, The Woodsman insists that he didn't kill Faith, and in a panic, begs Bigby to let him go. Still furious with how Bigby and the establishment treat Fables like him, Grendel starts a fight with Bigby. This fight is important for achievement hunters; in order to get all of the Book of Fables entries for Episode One, you'll have to replay the barfight and choose both options — ripping off Grendel's arm, or walking away. Regardless of how the fight ends, Tweedle Dee walks in as the action dies down, leaving you to choose whether to follow and arrest him or The Woodsman, who takes the opportunity to flee. The suspect you choose here will be the person you interrogate in Episode Two, Chapter Two: Wrath. Generally, this will be the order of events for the chapter: Talk to Snow. Talk to the bartender, Holly. Ask Holly about The Woodsman's photo. Interact with the matchbook on the bar. Ask Holly about the half-empty glass at the end of the bar. Examine the dart board chalkboard on the left side of the room. Talk to Holly again. If you chose to give Faith your money in Chapter One, you won't be able to pay for your drink here. Talk to The Woodsman. Fight Grendel. This is another quick-time event, which ends in the decision whether to rip Grendel's arm off or walk away. Major spoiler for the end of Episode One: FaithAs Bigby is taking his suspect into custody, he's stopped by police outside of The Woodlands. He passes them by to find, to his horror, that Snow's head has been left on the front step.
