TESCO shoppers are being urged to act now as £11million vouchers are set to expire this month. Around 24 million shoppers in the UK have a Clubcard account, which lets them earn points to spend in store or with reward partners. But shoppers are being warned they need to be quick as many are set to expire on September 1. The vouchers are valid for two years and need to be exchanged before 11.59pm on Monday 31 August, according to Money Saving Expert. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! You can spend the vouchers on your weekly shop, to pay for fuel or double their value by exchanging with more than 100 Clubcard reward partners including Disney+ and RAC. Meanwhile, you can triple their value by spending them with Eating Out Reward Partners including Pizza Express and Bella Italia. Read more on supermarkets If you don’t want to spend your vouchers then there’s a trick that will extend them for another two years. All you need to do is spend a small amount, such as 50p from a £10 voucher. Tesco will then reissue the remaining balance with a new two-year expiry date. To check if your points are set to expire log into your Tesco Clubcard account. Most read in Money Go to “My Clubcard Account” and then click on “Vouchers”, which will show you all the vouchers you have left to spend. The news comes as hundreds of thousands of Tesco customers are sat on more than £100 each in unused Clubcard vouchers. More than 500,000 shoppers have more than £100 of vouchers to spend, while a further 95,000 are sat on £200 or more. Comment now
