As he was walking towards the away side’s dugout, Tansey took his shirt off and then made a beeline for the home end, jumping over a wall and up the steps to angrily confront a supporter. Two members of staff had to pull him away and when he returned to pitchside, the referee brandished a red card. It’s understood the fan had been goading Tansey, who used to play for Penicuik, throughout the game and made a personal comment towards him just as he was substituted. He said: “We’ve had a chat after the game and this morning after everything calmed down. Brother Griffiths, 35, has spent the last three years playing in Australia. The Hoops centurion had his contract terminated Parkhead in January 2022 and he was gone from Scottish football altogether a few months later. A loan spell at Dundee had failed to reignite his career and the striker decided to up sticks and move Down Under in August 2022 after a short-lived stint with Falkirk.
