Shocking moment Juventus star is wiped out by pitch invader in pre-season clash and left injured ahead of season

JUVENTUS defender Federico Gatti missed training after being tackled by a FAN during a pitch invasion. Gatti, 28, had his back to the crowd when they rushed onto the turf and failed to make it to the tunnel with the rest of his team-mates. One supporter lost his footing before sliding straight into the defender’s ankle and sending him tumbling. Gatti thankfully escaped serious injury, but did NOT train the following day after feeling the effects of the knock. Juve kept him out as a precaution, although he is expected to be in contention for Sunday’s Serie A opener against Frosinone. Luciano Spalletti’s side were leading 2-0 when the invasion brought the friendly to a premature end. The Juve boss had been hoping to use the second half to get more minutes into his squad before the real action begins.
