Shock evidence around Zoe’s death delivers twist that leaves Kat stunned in EastEnders

The Slaters are thrown into unimaginable grief following Zoe’s death, with Kat struggling to process the fact that she has lost her daughter. After finding Zoe’s lifeless body, a stunned Kat initially keeps the devastating discovery to herself as she attempts to come to terms with what has happened. It isn’t long before Alfie learns the truth, however, leaving the rest of the family reeling as news of Zoe’s death begins to spread. The tragedy comes at an already difficult time for the Slaters. Jean, Mo and Lily have been preparing to leave No.31 after Suki evicted them over unpaid rent, with Mo doing her best to keep Lily’s spirits up ahead of another major change. They head to The Vic ready to begin their next chapter living with the Moons, but any hope of a fresh start is immediately overshadowed when they discover what has happened to Zoe. As the family struggles to comprehend her sudden death, Kat retreats from those closest to her and locks herself away.
