They were interrupted by Denise Fox (Diane Parish), who was brought home by Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), and it seemed as though Amy would cancel her plans with creepy Craig to attend Nugget’s (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) birthday party with him… …until he let slip that Denise had discovered that Darnell Larson (Christopher Colquhoun) isn’t a donor match, something she’d been keeping from Amy. Amy unleashed on Denise, hurt, angry and scared and accused her of shutting her out, before Denise broke and admitted that she can’t take much more; she’s in pain and she doesn’t have it in her to carry on fighting. Storming out of the house and crashing into best friend-turned enemy Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), everything came pouring out, while Craig cut a sad figure leaving the police station with his box of belongings and without a job. As Amy pleaded with Craig to explain what’d happened, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) finally revealed all about what he’d been up to to Callum Highway (Tony Clay): Craig had tried to seduce a young, female colleague by promising to help her progress in her career, before harassing her when she knocked him back. Back at the station, Craig blamed his job loss on Amy and the fact he kept the truth about her attack on Joel (Max Murray) a secret and as she pleaded with him to stay and not leave her and, even in crisis, he continued to manipulate her.
