Seven teenagers and a 21-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a “knife fight” at a KFC restaurant in south London.The brawl on Bromley High Street, in southeast London, unfolded shortly after 2pm on Thursday and left a 21-year-old man in a critical condition.He was rushed to hospital along with three boys, aged between 14 and 17, who were also stabbed.After medical assessment, his injuries have since been deemed non-life-threatening.He has since been arrested along with the boys who were stabbed.They are among eight people, including four other boys aged between 14 and 17, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.All eight remain in police custody as an investigation into the shocking incident continues.Police at the scene in Bromley PAWitnesses described loud bangs and screams of horror as the altercation — feared to be between two rival local gangs — took place.A cafe worker reported seeing “boys running with long knives” at the scene of the crime on Thursday.Speaking to the Metro, the unnamed worked said: “People were scattering everywhere....Everyone was terrified.”Police Community Support Officers at the scene in Bromley PAForensic officers and a crime scene photographer were later seen working inside and outside the KFC restaurant on the High Street and there were evidence markers on the floor.The fast food chain confirmed a “serious incident” took place inside their restaurant.Officers rushed to the London high street to reports of an “altercation” at around 2.15pm on Thursday and the four males stabbed were taken to hospital.The scene after four people were stabbed on Bromley High StreetX/ @Vinnie_VdKLocal MP Peter Fortune said police had informed him there is "no further risk to the public".Forensic investigators at the scene on FridayPAChief Inspector David Cooper, who leads policing in the local area, said:“We recognise the impact this incident will have on the local community, and officers are working quickly to establish the full circumstances.“There will be an increased police presence in the area, and we encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak to officers.” Officers are appealing to anyone who may have footage or information relating to the incident to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 4008/10SEP, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
