At least seven people were killed and several others seriously injured after a Tata Magic passenger vehicle collided with a truck on the Nanded-Bhokar road in Maharashtra on Thursday evening. The accident took place around 7 pm near Sitakhanda Ghat in the forest area close to Bhokar.According to the information available, the Tata Magic was travelling from Nanded towards Bhokar carrying passengers. It collided with a goods truck near Sitakhanda Ghat, resulting in multiple casualties.Among those killed were Syed Almas of Bilal Nagar in Bhokar, Sheikh Firoz of Bhokar, Pandurang Laxman Waghmare and his wife Laxmibai Pandurang Waghmare of Syed Nagar, and Balwan Pawar of Potatanda village in Taluka Hadgaon. One of the deceased has not yet been identified.The crash also left several people seriously injured. Three critically injured persons, including truck driver Basumiya Sheikh Kazumiya from Kagaz Nagar in Telangana, Sheikh Khalil Sheikh Wahid of Bhokar and Somnath Maruti Yelge of Jambhalaj in Hadgaon taluka, were admitted to the rural hospital in Bhokar for treatment. The accident occurred on the day of the Pola festival, triggering panic in the area.
