Sept. 11 Ilocos Norte nonworking day for Marcos Sr. birth anniversary

Ilocos Norte. INQUIRER FILES SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — Malacañang has declared Friday (Sept. 11) a special nonworking day in Ilocos Norte in observance of the 109th birth anniversary of the President’s father Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Sr. READ: Indigenous protesters block Benguet mine with vegetable trucks Proclamation No. 1421, signed on Tuesday (Sept. 8) by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, said the holiday declaration would give residents the opportunity to participate in activities marking the occasion. Article continues after this advertisement The proclamation said the commemoration of Marcos Sr., who was born on Sept. 11, 1917, would be observed throughout the province.
