Senior Iranian official warns of maritime exclusion zone if US 'economic warfare' continues

The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council warned that if the US continued its "economic warfare" against Tehran, it could be met with establishment of a maritime exclusion zone across the Persian Gulf. "In recent days,Washington has received a clear warning from Iran’s new missiles," Mohsen Rezaei said in a post on X. "Economic warfare will be met by a maritime exclusion zone across the Persian Gulf to the blockade perimeter. The operational posture toward U.S. warships and bases has been fundamentally recalibrated," he added.
