Loren Legarda will continue to be on medical; leave from September 7 to 9 and September 14 to 16, Senate Secretary Renato Bantug said on Monday. Bantug confirmed Legarda’s fifth consecutive medical leave, for a supposed “serious” illness, as other senators previously described. “Yes. For Sept 7-9 and 14-16,” Bantug said in a text message, when asked if Legarda had filed another medical leave. Article continues after this advertisement Legarda first filed a medical leave from August 3 to 5, and has since filed extensions every Mondays to Wednesdays in the following weeks. Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian, Senate majority leader Sen. Migz Zubiri and Sen. Panfilo Lacson all shared that Legarda is experiencing lung problems, and is getting treatment. Legarda reportedly left the country on August 2 only a few days after the Office of the Ombudsman announced that the she and her son, Batangas Rep.
