The Only Murders in the Building star sold the 11,500-square-foot estate for $5.4 million six years after picking it up for $4.9 million. The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom manse is tucked behind a gated driveway in the Rancho enclave of celeb-beloved Encino. Its star-studded history pre-dates the pop singer; legendary rocker Tom Petty and his wife Jane Benyo owned the dwelling from 1989 to 2017 and did their share of customizations during their time in the home. They parted ways with it a few months before Petty’s death.The Rare Beauty mogul made some updates of her own to the abode. She retained the house’s skylit living room and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, but elevated the space with some A-list amenities, including an in-home recording studio, a massage room and gym, an office, and a glam room. The home’s gourmet kitchen might be familiar to fans of the star’s HBO Max series Selena + Chef—its marble countertops and brick stove served as the cooking show’s backdrop for three seasons.The primary suite sits on the main level.
