Past winners include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Idris Elba and David Beckham.On Tuesday, Oct. 27, People announced its 2026 Sexiest Man Alive — “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle. He admitted he thought it was a “prank” when he heard the news.“Just not in a million years did I think that this would be an honor bestowed on me,” Wyle, 55, told People. His wife of over a decade, Sara Wells, helped him believe he was worthy of the distinction. “She thinks I’m a good guy and that the kind of person that I am and the kind of father I am, the kind of husband I am, is worth promoting,” he said. “I thought, ‘OK, if you say so.’”Wyle added that his wife was also “very pleased that this reflects well on her taste.” As for his oldest daughter, 21-year-old Auden, Wyle thinks she’s “going to tease me about this for the next 50 years.” Noah Wyle and Sara Wells.AP PhotoWyle shares Auden and son Owen, 23, with his first wife, Tracy Warbin. He and Wells share daughter Frances, 11.After rising to prominence portraying Dr. John Carter on “ER” from 1994 to 2005, Wyle is once again playing a physician on TV. He stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in “The Pitt,” which will return for season 3 in January 2027. Wyle won back-to-back Outstanding Lead actor Emmys for the role in 2025 and 2026. You’re the Sexiest Man Alive. Finally you can be comfortable in your own skin.’ Not yet,” he said. “I like being in other people’s skin. I like putting on characters. I get self-conscious.
